NextGen Jobs have an exciting opportunity for motivated and passionate individual to commence a Parks and Gardens Apprenticeship working with a local council based in Altona. The successful candidate will work full time for 3 years while completing their Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.

About the Role:

• Control plant pests, diseases and disorders
• Implement a plant nutrition program
• Provide information on plants and their culture
• Implement a tree maintenance program
• Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases
• Maintain natural areas
• Troubleshoot irrigation systems

• Outstanding team worker

• Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn and follow instruction
• Punctual, reliable, and consistent
• A passion for the sport and recreation industry
• Valid driver’s licence and working with children check preferable
